Securing the European supply of radioisotopes for research, clinical development and clinical treatment.
The third mission of the ERT Consortium is to safeguard Europe’s role and autarky in this vital scientific and clinical area. Currently supplies of relevant raw materials for the production of medical radio isotopes are scarce and heavily fought after.
The Consortium will start the ERT Foundation to (a) source & finance relevant raw materials globally, to (b) ensure logistics, regulatory affairs & quality control and to (c) actively support the development of novel isotopes based on available materials. Thus, the Foundation seeks to enable European researchers, start-ups and clinicians on their efforts to develop and deliver novel cures based on radiopharmaceutical nuclides.
